Mrs. Sanders was a longtime member of the Church of God in Hillsboro. She enjoyed needlework, quilting, ceramics and other crafts. She also loved to bake and made legendary pecan and pumpkin pies. Born July 3, 1928, in Leadwood, she was the daughter of the late Otis and Hazel (Henderson) Johnson. She was preceded in death by her husband: Clyde E. Sanders.She is survived by two children: Donald (Sandra) Sanders of Arnold and Janet Becker of Arnold; one brother: Lindell Johnson of Sunnyvale, Calif.; five grandchildren: Robert Sanders, Donald Sanders Jr., Bryan (Christy) Sanders, Stacy (Tony) Ochoa and Jason (Melissa) Becker; and 11 great-grandchildren: Tyler, Taylor, Alisyn and Ashlyn Sanders, Gabby and Elena Ochoa, Benjamin, Lydia and Judah Walker and Dane and Jaise Becker.She also was preceded in death by one son: Wayne Edward “Little Eddie” Sanders; three brothers: Arnold, Harold and Paul Johnson; one sister: Zelda Johnson; and one son-in-law: Dan Becker.Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of funeral services at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 14, at the Robert D. Brown Funeral Home, 103 Fourth St., in Hillsboro. Burial will be in Marcus Memorial Cemetery in Fredericktown. Memorials may be made to American Veterans.
